Upgrading From Drupal 5x to 6x Anomalies

Recently upgraded cruelgamer.com from drupal 5x to pressflow 6x

Following the recommended upgrade procedure was problematic. Several modules threw errors and many had dependencies that also needed to be updated. Through selectively updating modules eventually the process produced a working installation.

Unfortunately a bug in the upgrade process produces multiple menu items. Also the logo and the site name and site slogan are duplicated. The most expedient solution was the removal and disabling of unnecessary menu items. Changing the theme from Garland was necessary to resolve the other issues.
